The Stampin' Up! Mini

The new Stampin' Up! Mini has started and it has some really great things. Beautiful stamp sets, new Designer Paper, a new Big Shot Die and new accessories. There is also a great promotion going on until April 30th, click on the picture to the left to get all the scoop. I'm thinking about offering some on-line kits for you to purchase. Leave a comment if you think you would be interested. I think I will offer the kits in a couple of different ways... 1. Just the instructions, which will include pictures and a list of all the items I used to create the item, 2. The essentials, which will include instructions, pictures, Designer Paper, Card Stock and any accessories, and 3. The whole Kit and Caboodle, which will include everything above plus the stamp set. So, what do you think?? It will probably be some kind of a bag or box and 4-6 coordinating cards.

Oh no, more SNOW!

Well, it's March 1st and the weather here in Maryland is calling for 4-6" of snow by tomorrow morning. We had a couple of nice days and my daffodils have started to poke through the dirt, so I know Spring is just around the corner. Yesterday, I had a workshop at one of my co-workers home, Thanks Becky. In my last post I showed you a couple of pics of two cards I thought about doing. Well, below is what we really did, hope you enjoy. This card is made with "Botanical Blooms" from the Sale-A-Brations mini. It's a two step stamp set and is real easy to use. The ribbon is also from the SAB mini and you can have these too for FREE, just click the pic on my side bar to find out all the details. Next, we made this card with the set "Cheep Talk", I just love this set. Everyone seemed to have a great time and loved the cards. Did anyone notice the link on my side bar called Sneak Peek? Oh, you must click on it... As a demonstrator, I am able to preorder new items a month before my customers can. Well, Stampin' Up! is letting you, the customer, also order a few stamp sets before the new mini arrives. The new Spring mini is unbelievable... and it is loaded with new things. There are a few Easter sets that Stampin' Up! decided would be a little late for you to wait until April. So these sets are being offered to you TODAY!! Yahoooooo, just in time for you to recieve and make those Easter creations. What are you waiting for, you can go right to my website and order yours today. See ya next time.

Hurry Up Spring!!

I have had it with this cold weather, we had a few really nice springy days and now it's COLD again. So, I changed my background to something a little spring like. I have another workshop coming up next weekend and these are a few of the samples I've been working on. This is a new set from Stampin' Up! called "Trendy Trees", it's a two-step set and I must say, a little hard to line up. So, I had to use my stamp-a-ma-jig and it worked great. I also used the new eyelet border punch, love it! Next is a stamp set from the Sale-A-Brations mini called "Botanical Blooms". Now this should make it feel like Spring!! This is another two-step set, but much easier to use. I don't think you really need to perfectly line up flowers, it makes them look like they're blowin in the wind. I also wanted to show you this little dry eraser display... Isn't it cute? All it is, is a 6 x 6 piece of ceramic tile from the hardware store, a small "Welcome" from the Decor' Elements catalog, some ribbon and some cute butterfly die cuts form the Big Shot. That's it!! Write on it with a dry eraser marker and it wipes right off. I must tell you I love the Big Shot, I just got one a week ago and I have a couple of the exclusive die cuts from Stampin' Up! And just wait until you see what Stampin' Up! has instore for you with the new Occassions Mini, starting April 1st, Oh My!! There are a couple of sets in the mini that Stampin' Up! is letting you purchase a month early, they are mainly Easter related. This way you can purchase these sets and get started on those Easter cards. Call me to see what they are, so cute! Some other stampin news is that Stampin' Up! has decided to go back to one big catalog a year. Starting with the new catalog on July 1st. But, they will have 3 minis and of course the Sale-A-Brations mini and lots of specials in between. Now is a great time to join Stampin' Up! OK, time to get back to work, see ya next time.

Just Buzzin

Yesterday I had a SU workshop and this is one of the cards we did. The stamp set is called "Just Buzzin' By" everyone seemed to really enjoy the card. The little Bee was stamped twice, once on winter white card stock and punched with the circle punch. Then we stamped it again and colored the body and then cut out just the body. Then we used a popup dot to the body and attached it over the first image to give it a 3-D look. This is the next card we did.... This set is called "Sweet Stems" and we also used a hostess set called "A Little Somethin". Thanks Marge for a great turn out. Hope you enjoy, see ya soon.

SALE-A-BRATIONS Starts Today!!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everybody!! I hope 2009 is a great year for all of you! My daughter called a few minutes ago to tell me her car is broke down, something to do with the ignition switch. I hope this isn't a bad sign for the rest of the year. So you think she could be close to home, oh no, she is 60+ miles away in Annapolis. What the heck is she doing their??? So my oldest daughter and her fiance are driving to pick her up and have AAA tow the car back closer to home. Just because your kids think they are grown young adults and own their own, doesn't mean they don't need Mom and Dad's help when something breaks down. I just hope everyone gets back home safely.
